The Map Channels Hotel Directory lists hotels around the world on a Google map.
The site combines from four separate hotel suppliers to provide a comprehensive worlwide hotel directory.

A new site design has been introduced to improve navigation and include hotel
listings from multiple hotel suppliers on one map - over 100,000 listings are now viewable. The main map now allows you to find any hotel within four clicks
and then pan around the area to compare all other local hotels. Filters help to compare prices and detailed profiles
are available for all hotels. The history mode lets you review hotels from a shortlist of hotel markers you have clicked on.
Display
The map markers represent countries, regions, towns or hotels according to the current zoom level.
• Country markers are
white.
• Region markers are
orange.
• Town markers are
green.
• Hotel markers are
blue.
Country, region and town markers display the number of restuarants within that area on the marker.
The sidebar index lists all markers currently displayed on the map.
Navigation
• Pan and zoom the map using the controls in the top left corner.
• You can zoom the map using the mouse wheel or by double clicking either the left or right mouse button.
• Click and drag to pan the map.
• Hover the mouse over a marker or the sidebar listing to view the summary tooltip.
Modes
Three modes are available :
•
Browse : displays markers within the current map view, updating each time the map view changes.
•
Search : Lets you search for a specific hotel by name. You can search the whole site or just within the current map view.
•
History : This lists all hotels you have clicked on during the session. You can delete individual history listings or clear the whiole list. Use this mode to build a shortlist and compare hotels when deciding which hotel to stay at.
Features
• Click country, region or town markers to zoom in on that area.
• Click hotel markers to view details of the hotel including availability and online booking links.
• Click the 'View Profile' link for detailed information about the hotel.
• Click the 'Book Online' link to make a room reservation.
• Click 'Options' to customize the map view.
• Use the permalink to bookmark a map view.
This website is best viewed using Firefox.
